Research Interests

I’m a third-year undergraduate student working with Dr. Kyle Eichas in the Psychosocial Development Lab at Tarleton State University in Waco, Texas.

At the heart of my research interests is the belief that philosophical questions can be investigated empirically. I draw on psychological theory, statistical modeling, experimental methods, and qualitative analysis. In particular, I hope to contribute to understanding how the mind shapes and is shaped by concepts such as moral judgment, character, values, scientific reasoning, meaning-making, and language. I believe that by understanding how we engage with the profound questions of the everyday human experience, we can cultivate flourishing in ourselves, one another, and our communities.

I intend to pursue a doctoral degree in cognitive psychology to advance nuanced and comprehensive theoretical frameworks, inform evidence-based applications, and support student development through teaching and mentorship.

Outside of the lab (and my own head), I enjoy working out, video and board games, amateur astronomy, movies (especially sci-fi), spending time with friends & family, and lots and lots of animals.
